In-situ synthesis of NiMo2C/Al2O3 catalysts for dry reforming of methane

NiMoAl2O3 was prepared by one-pot combustion process with urea and starch. NiMo2C/Al2O3 was synthesized through in-situ carburization in CH4 and CO2. Within NiMo2C/Al2O3, CH4 can be converted by Ni0 into intermediate species of C∗. C∗ species were further transformed into CO by the adjacent Mo2C species. In DRM, the conversion of CO2 and CH4 was stable near 94% and 89.4%, respectively.
