Details structure of β′ (β L′ and β S′) and β″ (β″ (I) and β″ (II)) are characterized by HAADF-STEM and TEM. The precipitation sequence of Mg-Sm series alloy should be modified as S.S.S.S → β″ (D019) → β L′/β S′(cbco) → β1 (fcc) → β (bct) A phase transformation model between β″/β′ is proposed based on 〈a〉 dislocation shearing mechanism.
