Prediction of particle distribution and particle impact erosion in inclined cavities

Inclined 2D cavities with various height differences were investigated. URANS SST-DPM method was used to study gas (air)-solid flow and particle erosion. Particle number and maximum erosion rate barely change with φ when St = 0.12. For St = 1.2 and 9.1, negative slopes of N-φ lines increase exponentially with h. Em decreases linearly with φ when St = 1.2, and quadratically when St = 9.3.
