Plastic film mulch decreased daily Rn and ET as the available energy decreased. Diurnal Rn was lower while G was higher for the mulched treatment. Plastic film mulch accelerated plant growth and advanced maize maturity. Plastic film mulch increased yield and water use efficiency.
