PDC213 is an endogenous peptide presenting higher levels in preterm milk. PDC213 showed obvious antimicrobial against S. aereus and Y. enterocolitica. PDC213 can permeabilize bacterial membranes and cell walls to kill bacterias. PDC213 is a novel type of antimicrobial peptides worthy further investigation.
