A nonlinear model for multilayered rubber isolators based on a co-rotational formulation

The model captures the axial and lateral coupling in tension and compression. It accounts for buckling of the isolator under axial and lateral deformations. Buckling loads are larger in tension than in compression. Satisfactory accuracy of the model was obtained with FEM and experimental data. The model can be used in dynamic analysis and include inelastic behavior of rubber.
