Coordination between pyrocatechol and Fe3 + cations to produce films Thick films (up to 50 nm) can be obtained after long deposition times. The stability of the Pyr-FeIII coatings in the presence of excess pyrocatechol is investigated. The Pyr-FeIII films decompose under the application of an oxidizing potential.
