The cyclic loading-unloading-reloading hysteresis loops of C/SiC with different fiber preforms at room and elevated temperatures in air atmosphere have been investigated.
The hysteresis loops models were used to predict the hysteresis loops corresponding to different fiber preforms, peak stresses and test conditions.
The interface slip cases between fibers and the matrix would be affected by the fiber volume fraction in the loading direction, oxidation at elevated temperature and stress levels.
