XLIF procedure accomplishes a secure and effective interbody fusion with a clear clinical improvement for patients. It permits an increase of the total lumbar lordosis, which might be helpful for segmental imbalance improvement. It allows an indirect decompression of neural structures restoring foramen dimensions and disc space height.
