Nonlinear model of a copolymerization reactor is converted into an exact LPV model.

The scheduling dimension is reduced by parameter set mapping and by order reduction.

Trade-off between the design conservatism and the accuracy with the nonlinear model.

The scheduling variables are estimated by a Kalman filter for LPV controlling.

The simulations using the nonlinear model show the benefits of each approach.
