The modeling method of low temperature combustion diesel engine was studied.

A dynamic physics based control oriented model to dynamically predict gas exchange and combustion process of a LTC diesel engine was constructed.

Static and dynamic experimental validation of the control oriented model were performed.

The root mean squared error (RMSE) and correlation coefficient (R) were calculated and used to evaluate the validation of the model.
