Phase pure A4V2O9 (A = Ba, Sr, Ca, Mg and Zn) ceramics were prepared. Structural studies carried out using powder X-ray diffraction and Laser Raman studies. Mg4V2O9 exhibits good microwave dielectric properties together with chemical compatibility and hence can be used for LTCC applications.
