Turbulent natural convection in 2D/3D rectangular cavities is comparatively investigated.
In 3D models, slenderness ratio of H/W = 1 and H/W = 1 is considered.
Numerical solutions using six turbulence RANS models are obtained.
Heat transfer rate predictions of models are accessed via the mean Nu number over the heated surface area.
Performance of the RANS models are assessed using available experimental and numerical literature.
