The quantum dots (QD) influenced the purple membrane (PM) interfacial properties.

Forster resonance energy transfer effect was observed in the PM-QD samples.

The higher rate of M-intermediate formation and decay was found in PM-QD samples.

The obtained kinetic parameters are due to the PM structure changes by QD adsorption.

Such PM-QD system as basis for future bionanomaterials with advanced parameters.
