ZnO – SnO2 heterojunctions were synthesized via hydrothermal method. The ozone gas-sensing properties were investigated at room temperature under UV illumination. The ZnO-SnO2 heterojunctions exhibited a good sensitivity to sub-ppb ozone levels. The good separation of photogenerated carriers favored the gas-sensing performance. The results show that ZnO-SnO2 heterojunctions can be considered a potential ozone gas sensor.
