Existing two load models used to simulate periodic jumping have been analyzed.

A new model of jumping load has been developed.

Dynamic tests have been performed on a structure designed to be a gymnasium.

A comparison between experimental and simulation results is presented.

The three models have been found able to reproduce with good accuracy the experimental data.

The proposed model provides a clear improvement in the energy contained within higher frequencies.
