Electronic structural, mechanical properties of Ti2AlX (X = Hf, Re) intermetallics. All the three phases in Ti2AlHf and Ti2AlRe show metallic bonding. Both the alloys satisfy the stability criteria in terms of elastic constants. Ductile/brittle behavior has been explained based on G/B ratios. B2 phase shows high anisotropy.
