A heteroglycan was isolated from an edible truffle Tuber rufum (Pico) Var. The molecule was composed of d-glucose, d-galactose, and l-fucose. The structure was elucidated by chemical and 1D/2D NMR analysis. The heteroglycan showed biological effects on human lymphocytes.
