LDH derived reduced Mg0.5Ni0.25Al0.25O1.13 mixed oxides hydrogenated at temperature range of 30–180 °C. MgH2 and Mg2NiH4 hydrides are formed in hydrogenation. Dehydrogenation activation energy of the hydrides is 60 kJ/mol. Surface of mixed metals are highly interactive to hydrogen.
