Effect of nanometric LiFePO4 on H-sorption properties of MgH2 was investigated. MgH2 + 20 wt.% LiFePO4 onset dissociation temperature was 60 K lower than MgH2. The addition of LiFePO4 improved the sorption kinetic of MgH2. LiFePO4 changed the rate-controlling steps of MgH2. Fe and LiMgPO4 significantly improved MgH2 hydrogen storage properties.
