文摘

The long-term degradation of Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr alloy screws in mandible bone of rabbits is investigated.

At 18 months, the screw volume has been reduced by ∼90 %, and the averaged corrosion rate is 0.122 ± 0.042 mm/year.

The degradation products show two-layer structure, and the outer layer shows similar composition with new bone tissue.
