Distribution system state estimation using compressive sensing

A novel, three-phase, and μPMU-based DSSE paradigm is proposed. The presented algorithm uses measured voltage phasors at few buses and the impedance matrix. Compressive sensing technique is used to estimate the three-phase current injections vector. Voltages are calculated by multiplying the impedance matrix and the estimated currents. A new method is presented to determine the regularization parameter in ℓ1 regularization techniques.
