MOFs exhibit high laser desorption/ionization efficiency both in positive- and negative-ion modes without background interference. MOFs as matrix have superior signal reproducibility and higher detection sensitivity in the application of a series of small molecules. MOFs can enrich trace amount pollutants from aqueous solution, thus leading to the enhancement of MS signals. The SPE-MALDI-TOF-MS measurement is convenient, efficient and fast.
