We examined the cardiac toxicity of N. nomurai venom (NnV) at the proteome level.
We treated H9c2 cells with NnV for 6 h and 12 h, along with control.
2DE and MALDI-TOF/MS analysis resulted in 34 differentially expressed proteins.
NnV targeted well known proteins involved in cardiac dysfunction or maintenance.
These results clarify the underlying mechanism of cardiotoxicity by NnV.
