Man i 1 from five mango varieties all reacted with mango-allergic patients’ sera. The full-length cDNA sequence of Man i 1 was obtained by 3′ and 5′ RACE assays. An Escherichia coli expression system for soluble rMan i 1 has been established. rMan i 1 could be successfully recognized by mango-allergic patient’s serum. rMan i 1 has identified as glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase.
