Stalk rot pathogens reduced sorghum yields in an inoculation stage-specific manner. A greater yield reduction was observed with growth stage 1 (GS1) inoculations. GS1 inoculation significantly affected head size and seed numbers. Growth stage 3 (GS3) inoculation had significant impact on seed weights. Disease severity measures did not significantly correlate with yield tolerance.
