Profile milling tests of woven flax fiber composites have been realized.

Tribological effects of the tool helix angle have been investigated.

Increasing the helix angle reduces the flax fiber shearing performances.

Increasing the helix angle reduces significantly the composite/tool friction.

The pertinent scales for surface finish analysis are between 50 µm and 1 mm.
