A novel CNV mapped to intronic 10 of MAPK10 was validated in Chinese cattle. Obvious difference for CNV distribution between NY and other four breeds were found. Negative correlations were found between CNV and mRNA levels of MAPK10 and MYOG. Significant effects of the CNV on growth traits were revealed in NY cattle.
