Highly monodisperse Ag NPs have been successfully grown on electrospun PU nanofibers by means of simple polyol technique.
The function of polyol immersion medium was not only as a reducing agent, but also it was confirmed to have a significant effect on the growth density of silver particles on support fibers.
The present PU–Ag(EG) nanofibrous membranes may be a potential candidate as a highly sensitive SERS substrates.
