This is explained considering the different adsorption strengths of CO and COb>2b>.
On Fe-catalysts, chain growth sites are transformed into hydrogenation sites at low Pb>COb>.
On Fe-catalysts, K promotes COb>2b> adsorption and the stability of chain growth sites.
