Size controllable synthesis of cobalt vanadate nanostructures with enhanced photocatalytic activity for the degradation of organic dyes

Different types of cobalt vanadate nanoparticles were prepared via simple solid-state approach. H2salen Schiff-base as a new capping agent was used for controlling of size and uniformity. The effects of preparation parameters on the properties of products were studied. Cobalt vanadate nanoparticles were characterized by SEM, XRD, FTIR, UV-VIS and EDS techniques. The photocatalytic activity of nanoparticles were evaluated.
