We identified suitable habitat and the functional corridors for jaguars in the Southern Mayan Forest. Habitat for jaguars is maintained in remote areas of conserved forest with relatively gentle topography. Connectivity exists through areas with forest cover in a surrounding area within 240 m with moderate to medium slopes. We identified 27 priority habitat patches and 50 critical corridors. Decision-makers should encourage investment in specific sites to ensure the integrity of this landscape.
