Red-shift in wavelength of QD-protein complex has been observed when compared to bare QDs. It is noteworthy that the red-shift shows the interaction between QDs and binding site of MBP. Bare CdSe/ZnS core/shell QDs are potential candidates for enhanced light harvesting efficiency.
