Lysosomal proteolysis attenuates crizotinib-induced apoptosis in NSCSC cells. Crizotinib-induced apoptosis is enhanced by inhibition of lysosomal proteolysis. MCL1 degradation is suppressed by chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA). CMA-mediated stabilization of MCL1 was observed in several NSCLC cell lines. CMA inhibition and ABT-263 efficiently induces apoptosis in NSCLC cells.
