We provide initial validation of the TRxANSITION Scale™ Spanish version among adolescents and young adults (youth) from Mexico with chronic- or end-stage kidney disease (CKD or EKSD).

In youth from Mexico with CKD or ESKD, health care transition readiness is greater among those who are ≥ 16 years or transplant recipients.

This cohort's overall score is low, indicating the need for a health care transition preparation program.

The TRxANSITION Scale™ Spanish version results (total and sub-domain scores) from Mexican youth were similar to those reported in youth from the Southeastern USA.
