A facile one-pot method towards the construction of bifucntional magnetic-fluorescent polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) film.
The mechanism relies on the chemical reaction between the ring-opened PVP and the magnetic nanoparticles as well as the dye molecules.
The PVP film exhibits excellent superparamagnetism and high optical stability due to the covalent bonding of magnetic nanoparticles and the dye molecules.
The facile method could be extended to other oxides for the preparation of multi-functional composite PVP films.
