However, we observe a macro–micro contradiction with fewer households relying on aquaculture as their primary income source in 2012 than in 2002.
The shift in fish production has not worked to the benefit of many coastal households we surveyed.
Households without human or financial capital are unable to access emerging wage employment and self-employment opportunities.
