Polysiloxanes/polysilsesquioxanes with SH and NH2 groups deposited on silica supports. Composites have Type IV N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm, indicative of mesoporosity. Amino-functionalized membranes showed about 95% of Ni(II) ions retention; Thiol-functionalized membranes showed up to 35% of Pb(II) ions retention.
