Mesoporous SiO2/VO2 double-layer coating system to reduce the surface reflection of VO2 film. Simple preparation of VO2 film from a home-made ammonium citrato-oxovanadate (Ⅳ). The integral visible transmittance Tvis increased to 80% from 69.8% of pure VO2 coating while maintaining the infrared reflection property.
