Lignite was desulfurized by the combinations of flotation and biological methods. Modelling of flotation parameters were performed by Box-Behnken design method. The fungus, Alternaria sp. Cf1 has proved effective in desulfurization. Ash content of studied sample was reduced by 70.83%.
