Four different SiO2–CaO–P2O5 gel-glasses were synthesized by the sol–gel method.
FTIR, XRD, SEM-EDS and TG/DTA techniques were used to fully characterize the gels.
Integral isoconversional OFW method was used to study dehydration kinetics.
Appropriate temperatures of 600 and 1200 °C were chosen to thermally treat them.
All amorphous gels at 1200 °C crystallize as wollastonite and pseudowollastonite.
