This bioreactor for microalgae provides the optimized arrangement of internal LEDs. Flashing-light effect of the photosynthesis was demonstrated. A cell density of 67% of that of the ideal condition was measured. Numerical simulations predict the largest growth rate of 10.18 g/L/day.
