Successive single-surface migration of polyethylene film was performed. The effect of temperature, time and simulant on migration rates was investigated. Bis(2-ethylhexyl) ester and bis-butyl phthalate ester were detected in the food simulants. The second migration reached equilibrium faster than the first migration with approximate or even higher migration rates.
