LaNiO3 perovskites are good electrocatalysts for the ORR. ORR activity is affected by BET, particle size, Ni eg occupancy and impurities. BET area and particle size decrease with the increasing the calcination temperature. Optimum calcination temperature is a compromise between all these factors.
