Insights on hydride formation over cerium-gallium mixed oxides: A mechanistic study for efficient H2 dissociation
详细信息    查看全文
文摘
Mixed gallia-ceria catalysts boost the dissociation of H2. Gallia forms nanodomains embedded in the ceria matrix. GaHGaH hydrides at the interface ceria-gallia are the most reactive toward H2 dissociation. A four-step mechanism explains the observed evolution of IR signals during reaction. DRIFTS, XPS, Ga NMR, DFT and kinetic modeling provide a coherent picture of the mechanism.
