Oleacein is the major phenol in ‘Galega Vulgar’ and ‘Cobrançosa’ virgin olive oils.

Low hydroxytyrosol and tyrosol contents indicate fresh virgin olive oils.

‘Galega Vulgar’ olive oil is richer in gama-tocopherol than ‘Cobrançosa’ olive oil.

‘Cobrançosa’ olive oil has higher flavonoid content than ‘Galega Vulgar’ olive oil.
