Simulated the effect of vertical eddy viscosity in the energy and momentum transfer across the water column. Influence of tide and outer-shelf variations on coastal current regime is verified by nesting the model with NCOM model. Particle Tracking Model demonstrated the westward migration of Atchafalaya mud plume during the spring flood season. Model calibration and skill assessment was conducted using in situ data from multiple locations within the domain.
