Polysubstituted pyrroles are synthesized under mechanochemical ball milling. Solvent-free radical cyclization is efficiently accomplished mediated by Mn(OAc)3. The mechanism involves radical addition, oxidative elimination and condensation. The method exhibits mild condition, short time, simple work up and broad scope.
