Tin-tantalum-niobium mineralization in the Penouta deposit (NW Spain): Textural features and mineral chemistry to unravel the genesis and evolution of cassiterite and columbite group minerals in a peraluminous system
Sn, Ta and Nb mineralization occurs finely disseminated throughout the leucogranite. Evolutionary trends reflect Ta- and Mn-enrichment towards eastern albite facies. Ta-Nb and Mn-Fe in the melt depend on competition among Fe-Mn-bearing minerals. Fluorine and fractionation of white mica could have favored Ta-enrichment of residual melt.
