CFD study on mixing enhancement in a channel at a low reynolds number by pitching a square cylinder

A CFD/FSI study on the mixing between two fluids at a very low Reynolds has been conducted. Mixing mechanism by pitching a square cylinder in a channel is analysed. Optimum pitching frequency and amplitude have been found. Response surfaces of mixing efficiency, input powers and mixing cost have been obtained.
